Initially considered the cheap alternative for printing, flexography has evolved to become the leading process for high-quality package printing, capable of adapting to printing on diverse substrates. As technology continues to progress toward the future, so does the packaging printing industry. Flexographic Technical Association’s (FTA) Forum 2018 will kick off day two by divulging the industry’s latest advancements during “New Capabilities: Look at Flexo Now!,” scheduled for 8:00 a.m. on Monday, May 7.
Co-Chairs Keith Nagle, Nilpeter, and Doug Weiss, Kodak, will host the 60-minute session as attendees learn about the new possibilities in efficiency and plant assimilation by using enhanced press automation and Industry 4.0 integration.
“From its inception, aniline printing—or flexography, as we know it—has continuously evolved to fit the decorative and converting needs of our industry, all inline,” says Nagle. “The technology of flexo is quickly changing as 4.0 connectivity and digital come online. The capabilities of tomorrow’s equipment are here today, and the process we all love is becoming even more streamlined and efficient, and print quality now meets or exceeds the other print processes. Come see the session ‘New Capabilities: Look at Flexo Now!’ and get an understanding of some of our industry’s newest advancements.”
Speakers and presentations include:
Every full Forum registration includes entrance to the INFOFLEX show floor, where more than 240 of the industry’s top suppliers will be exhibiting their most innovative technologies.
