From a field of over 200 applicants, the GMPC selects 18 to 20 emerging small businesses for connection with mentor organizations headquartered or maintaining a significant presence in Georgia.
With the help of AGCO and the other mentors, AT&T, SunTrust and Georgia Power to name a few, New Creation expects to continue its rapid growth and presence in the industry.
The Georgia Mentor Protégé Connection is a governor’s program administered by the Georgia Educational Foundation in partnership with the Development of Economic Development and the Georgia Institute of Technology.
Over the course of the year, the mentor corporation works with the protégé to identify areas of need or focus, ultimately aimed at business development and growth.
New Creation is mentored by AGCO, a worldwide manufacturer of farming equipment, based in Duluth, GA, USA. Each year the GMPC hosts an intensive two-day retreat and expo in which all mentor organizations and protégés meet together for business development, and a sales and marketing expo.
The protégé organizations are evaluated and judged by the mentors on things like level of engagement, sales pitch, marketing materials, and more, and awards are given out at the end of the expo.
