Flexographic Technical Association (FTA) has put Flexographic Image Reproduction Specifications & Tolerances (FIRST) at the forefront of its Tuesday, May 8 Forum & INFOFLEX 2018 program by starting the day with “FIRST in Motion – Wide Web Project.” This is a three-hour, print-by-example session meant to demonstrate predictable reproduction for wide web flexible packaging using a promotional pouch incorporating 7-color expanded gamut (EG) printing on one panel and 4-color plus spot colors on the other.
Leading the pack of panelists for this demonstration are co-chairs Mark Mazur, FTA Hall of Fame, and Malcolm Keif, California Polytechnic State University. With the printing project taking center stage, each speaker will address their area of expertise while maintaining a linear discussion of how to apply FIRST methodology.
