At FTA's INFO*FLEX exhibition in Indianapolis, IN, USA, May 8-9, the Flint Group booth will include everything from printing plates, image setters, sleeves and inks. Flint Group experts will be on hand to discuss the latest developments in prepress to press-side solutions.
Flint Group’s Flexographic, Packaging Inks, Narrow Web and Digital Solutions Divisions will team-up to provide a one-stop shop offering a broad range of flexographic products to the printing industry.
The Flexographic Division will present the nyloflex XVH digital plate – a new, versatile, hard durometer plate with an inherently flat top surface that is perfect for narrow web print applications on all types of printing substrates and wide web film printing when surface screening is employed. Meanwhile, rotec Eco Bridge, an adapter for use on flexographic printing presses and plate-mounting equipment, will be highlighted, as well. This special adapter with a breathable metal ring creates an air pillow around the entire circumference of the adapter to allow for easy and fast mounting of sleeves. The design uses 90% less volume of compressed air, resulting in significant noise reduction and cost savings.
The Narrow Web Division will highlight EkoCure XS, a UV LED flexo ink system for shrink sleeves with improved adhesion for the fastest printing speeds.
EkoCure XS ink is a next-generation LED technology developed by Flint Group Narrow Web, addressing key needs determined by many converters specializing in the shrink sleeve market. EkoCure XS ink combines the latest ink chemistry that provides an excellent cure and sufficient flexibility, allowing better adhesion, especially after post shrink processing is completed. The division will also be demonstrating Hydrokett ZEN ink with excellent press stability and enhanced print quality, which will improve profitability of any converter due to very low maintenance and outstanding color strength.
Furthermore, Flint Group Narrow Web will showcase the benefits of LED curing low migration EkoCure Ancora ink, the winner of the FTA Innovation Award in 2017. The company will provide full insights of how LED low migration ink can change the short-run flexible packaging market.
The Digital Solutions Division will discuss ThermoFlexX digital imagers, which are CTP systems available with 20, 30, 48, 60 and 80" models to serve every sector of the flexo market. ThermoFlexX 48, 60 and 80 models now feature fully automatic plate loading and unloading for efficiency, ease of use and minimal operator intervention, reducing the risk of plate damage.
ThermoFlexX systems provide a high-resolution, turn-key solution alongside Flint Group nyloflex or nyloprint plates and equipment. The company's open approach also ensures high quality with all LAMs plates available today.
