Label Impressions has put together a string of award wins recently. The company has added wins at the 2018 PIASC Print Excellence Awards, following wins at the 2017 TLMI World Label Awards and TLMI Annual Awards. Label Impressions has always been known for a high caliber of work.
The PIASC Award highlights its technical prowess with a small 2 ply extended text label.
"This particular beauty client carries a prominent celebrity name and a clean package was key to the design," says Label Impressions' Jeff Salisbury. "Our client required a .2756” diameter label containing 3 complete panels of ½ to 1 pt type in both reverse and positive print. Further, the reverse area involved custom color matches. We hit over 150 custom color matches at 1.25 Delta E or better (our internal color standard)...a big deal."
In order to fit component and content needs, the customer required 2-ply ecl of this size and shape with enough strength on the top ply adhesive to survive application and delivery to market, but not so much that it would lock up when opened. Label Impressions adds that after consulting partners and competitors, there was no one that did it or wanted to go below 1/2” diameter on a 2 ply.
