IIMAK has introduced its iiColor Match for thermal transfer ribbons (TTR) at Labelexpo Americas. This new service enables label converters to supply brand owners with thermal transfer ribbons in any exact color match. Key to this new program is fast turnaround and low minimum orders — all provided as a free service without development charges.

iiColor Match is a perfect solution for brand owners requiring smaller, even micro-sized, label runs while still maintaining brand integrity and corporate colors. According to Amy Schmitt, director of marketing, “Color thermal transfer provides an option to end users for printing short-run color labels with existing equipment. IIMAK will provide the color match proof in just three weeks, and minimum order quantities start at only eight cases. iiColor Match complements IIMAK’s standard TTR range of 50 colors and is available on wax, wax/resin, and resin formulations. A new Color Sales Guide helps resellers identify applications and select the correct ribbon based on substrate and durability requirements.

Color TTR is adaptable across a wide variety of labelstocks and levels of image durability. Generic pre-printed labels can be customized utilizing existing thermal transfer printers without the need for hardware investment. IIMAK also offers color TTR for multi-head printers that yield two or four color labels in one pass. Industries utilizing color TTR today include medical, nutraceutical, durables, chemical, and food.
