Screen Americas, a supplier of digital inkjet printing technology for the graphic arts industry, reprised its participation at the Digital Packaging Summit, a packaging industry convocation that was held in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, USA from November 5-7, 2018.
“We’re excited to be part of this great event again,” says Mark Schlimme, VP of marketing for Screen Americas. “While the label and packaging markets are going through the same pressures and changes we see in other print markets, we see unique challenges in this segment because of the variety of applications and solution platforms specific to them. These challenges raise questions for decision makers – toner or inkjet, aqueous or UV, hybrid or standalone. The Digital Packaging Summit provides a relaxed but focused environment to have serious and in-depth conversations with the market we serve.”
Screen manufactures a line of digital UV inkjet label presses that have established a growing user base among label producers and converters in the US and throughout the globe, now with over 100 label presses installed. Two new models of the press were recently featured and demonstrated at Labelexpo Americas 2018 in Chicago in September.
The Truepress Jet L350 UV+ and Truepress Jet L350 UV+LM machines both feature Screen’s famous 3-picoliter drop size and four-level grayscale technology for unmatched print quality and brilliant and wider color gamut achieved with Screen’s CMYK+W+Orange inks. Their uptime, productivity and substrate versatility are also shared equally. The L350UV+LM is the press equipped with Low Migration ink capabilities for food label print production.
Many Screen L350UV users have found the technology’s simplicity of use, high uptime and productivity plus unmatched quality is leading to significant conversion of many of their label jobs from offset to digital UV inkjet with the Truepress platform. The company believes its “Print.Ship.Bill.Repeat" message reflects the real profitability that label companies are experiencing in producing prime, flexible, durable and standard labels digitally.
Screen Graphic Solutions Co. will also reprise its participation at InPrint — the industrial print show taking place in Milan, Italy, November 20-22.
