Techkon USA has announced that Richard Black has joined the team as the new Midwest sales manager. The strategic hire is designed to meet its ever increasing customer base in the Midwest area.
Techkon has experienced rapid growth in that area and throughout North America over the past two years in large part due to its product line and excellent customer service.
Black has been involved with the printing and publishing industry for more than 30 years. He graduated from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo with a Bachelor of Science degree in graphic communications.
Black spent 17 years working for major manufacturers, such as Fujifilm and GretagMacbeth, and then joined All Printing Resources (APR) in August 2006. He served as the VP of business development, focusing on new business opportunities with strategic product lines and digital products in the narrow web market.
Black is extremely involved with industry associations, including the FIRST Committee as a member, speaking at both FTA’s Forum and Fall Conference, co-chairing the 2010 Fall Conference, as well as speaking and as a session co-chair at the TLMI Technical Conference.
“We are thrilled to have Richard join the Techkon USA team,” states Devin Abramowitz, director of sales. “He brings an extensive range of skills, experience and expertise to this very customer-focused role and we are certain this will be well received in the marketplace."
