The GSH Group, which has been an Edale customer for more than 10 years, has ordered Edale’s latest generation FL3 label printing press. After extensive research, The GSH Group concluded that the new Edale FL3 offered the highest level of automation and demonstrated a level of productivity and print quality that satisfied the demands of its growing business. The company still owns and operates two older Edale presses.
The FL3 on order is highly specified, including the new "EZ Die" quick change die system and "EZ Reg" autonomous register control. EZ Die enables a full die change in less than 60 seconds, pre-setting in both X and Y, and automatic waste stripping. Importantly EZ Die serves not only to make die changes quickly but also to make them safe by eliminating the need for lifting.
Both EZ Reg and EZ Die are technologies developed to automate and de-skill the analog label printing process, making label printing businesses more productive and efficient.
James Boughton, managing director of Edale, comments, “Edale’s approach has been to develop high-quality and productive machines that incorporate industry leading levels of automation, yet without over complication or high prices. We strive to make our equipment productive, affordable and simple to use. I am delighted that Edale has won back The GSH Group’s trust and look forward to supporting their expansion.”
Andy Russell, operations manager, adds, “After extensive research, we chose the Edale FL3 because of its ability to enhance our flexibility and reactivity with its quick make-ready, waste reduction features and proven ability to run challenging materials. With Edale being a customer-focused British company, the choice was simple.”
