Since 1973, converting equipment manufacturer Prati has been a global leader in the label finishing sector. With its focus on innovation, quality and maximized reliability, the company aims to offer its customers products and machinery characterized by an excellent cost/efficiency ratio in order to provide its customers with strong competitive advantage. With over 4,000 machines installed globally, Prati operates worldwide thanks to its two main offices based in Europe and the US.
From June 11-13, Prati invited customers, partners and suppliers to its Hybrid Technology Experience event in Faenza, Italy,to discuss innovation in the label industry.
As a preview of Labelexpo Europe exhibition in Brussels in September, Prati presented its DIGIFAST 20000, a machine designed for finishing materials printed entirely with digital technology for the mid-web industry. In addition, the DIGIFASTone was displayed in two different hybrid configurations for high-value finishing and for printing.
The hybrid printing line is designed and developed together with Screen. The ability to add DIGIFASTone pre-print & post-print modules allows functionality such as inline priming to extend substrate support, to “mix & match” flexo and inkjet printing to add effects and enhanced label production.
“Screen and Prati have listened to and recognized the requirements of the market to offer flexible solutions that optimise conver-ters production processes based on the type of label applications they have to produce. Our mutual distribution partners such as REM in Italy, Inprintout in Portugal and Jet Technologies in Indonesia can now offer stand alone, nearline and now hybrid confi-gurations to label converters specific needs.” says Carlo Sammarco, Sales Director Packaging Solutions at Screen Europe.
Over 100 guests from Italy, United States, UK, Thailand, Portugal, Canada, Germany, France, Austria, Russia and Turkey attended the Hybrid Technology Experience.
The open house days were packed full with team-building and networking events, such as a visit and tasting experience at a holiday farm and a walk-through vineyards followed by a dinner entirely prepared with locally grown produce, in the setting of Torre di Oriolo.
Prati also announced plans for an expansion in the coming months with the creation of a new local branch.
