At Labelexpo Europe 2019 in Brussels, Belgium, MacDermid Graphics Solutions, a worldwide supplier of photopolymer printing plates and platemaking systems, has introduced its Lava NW-M thermal processing unit to the European market, and debuted its expanded Lux ITP inherently flat-top dot plates to include Lux ITP 60, Lux ITP M, and its newest plate—Lux ITP Epic.
All three plates are formulated with the company’s patented Clean Plate technology, which reduces the number of press stops and ensures a cleaner print and better ink laydown. The Lux ITP plates, processed using the Lava thermal processing system, create a streamlined workflow for printers and converters to reduce platemaking time.
“Labelexpo Europe is an important show for us. This is an excellent opportunity for MacDermid to showcase our technology to the label and packaging printing market on a global scale,” states Alicia Gibson, strategic marketing and portfolio manager. “This year we are featuring our comprehensive portfolio of Lux ITP photopolymer with our new Lava NW-M thermal processing system. Together these plates and processing innovations provide the value add necessary for converters and printers to meet the ever-changing demands of their customers.”
“While our Lux ITP photopolymer printing plates are being showcased at the exhibition in conjunction with our solvent-free Lava thermal processing system, versatility is a key part of our innovation as Lux ITP can be dual processed in existing solvent technology, a unique feature of the MacDermid portfolio,” adds Andy Beesley, business director – EMEAR. In combination with the latest Lux In-The-Plate products formulated with our patented Clean Plate Technology, Lava can improve the productivity of printers and converters by reducing platemaking time and streamlining their workflow."
