Harper Corporation of America, a specialist in anilox roll technology, is highlighting its expansive range of products at Labelexpo Europe. Visitors to the company's booth have seen the QD Proofer and QD Printer on display, with experts from Harper on-hand to explain all the latest technological benefits.
According to Harper, the QD Proofing System is the very first system that is fully portable and utility free so it is not locked in the ink room. The QD Proofer can be carried straight to the press in order to dial in the proper amount of ink. Operators simply need to clip substrate to the QD table and position the roller bearing guided carriage at the start position. The product is intended to draw down consistent proofs without variations in operator loading pressure.
Meanwhile, the QD Printer is what Harper describes as, "the future of flat-bed printing." The product can be configured with a number of different printing process heads, and it is available in models for the standard 2.75" (70mm) or the Plus 5" (127mm) printer widths. Designed for lab safety in any ink environment, this modular product comes equipped with heavy duty components. Its maximum speed is 150 fpm.
In addition, Harper's experts are available to dicuss solutions to scoring damage, as well as determining the right specifications for converters' anilox rolls.
