Lintec Europe is highlighting its range of adhesive materials for the labeling industry at Labelexpo Europe. Visitors have been able to witness the company’s wide range of high performance labelstocks designed for use in a variety of sectors such as security, healthcare and industrial.
"For over 20 years, Lintec has been developing labelstock solutions for customers across Europe, which makes us well placed to understand the challenges that the labeling industry faces. Labelexpo provides an international platform to tackle these issues,” explains Andy Voss, managing director of Lintec Europe. “We are leaders in innovation, always striving to extend the boundaries of what we are able to achieve. Our ambitions for growth in Europe have seen us expand our customer base by consistently delivering reliable products to businesses across diverse sectors.”
The 225 square meter stand has been showcasing Lintec's product offerings in these sectors, with demonstration areas dedicated to security, healthcare, industrial and specialty. Visitors have also been able to see demonstrations of how these materials can be deployed for specific applications.
One of these is the recently launched tamper-evident non-transfer "VOID" security labelstock, which is on display in the "Security" section of the Lintec stand. The films are available in blue, red and transparent color options. When removed, the labelstock’s tamper-indicating properties instantly reveal a non-reversible "VOID" message within the label substrate. Unlike conventional "VOID" materials, the film does not leave any residue on the application surface, making it ideal for applications such as luxury consumer packaging and pharmaceutical box seals.
Another new product on display in the Security section is Lintec’s Footprint labelstock, also designed to reveal product tampering and reduce the likelihood of counterfeit. With an adhesive incorporating covert surface penetrating properties, the label substrate appears to be conventional under normal lighting conditions. If the label is removed, the area where it was once applied will become visible if illuminated by a UV light.
In the "Industrial" section, visitors can see Lintec’s new multi-layered label solution, designed for automotive and industrial paint shop use. The thermal transfer printable polyester base layer ensures superior adhesion and dimensional stability. Once applied to the vehicle chassis, this label is overlaminated with a stack of three layers of the same clear overlaminating film. Once the first production stage of electro-deposition primer coating has taken place, the top layer of film is easily removed to reveal the base label. Following the next process of painting and oven curing at high temperatures, the second layer of film can also be easily removed to reveal the finished embedded and overlaminated label.
The "Specialty" section has seen the inclusion of Lintec’s re-sealable oil tolerant closure labelstock. Specifically designed for oil-based cleansing and moisturising wet tissues, the film is able to resist degradation caused by direct contact with oil-based wipes, therefore enabling reliable seal and re-seal of tissue packs. Featuring either a clear or white filmic substrate, the labelstock resists oils, water and organic liquids, thereby preserving moisture within the package and maintaining high quality visual branding.
Soichiro Fujinaga, technical manager of Lintec Europe, adds, “The products that we have on display at Labelexpo Europe offer only a glimpse into our wider portfolio. We want to leave visitors with the confidence that Lintec is a dependable business partner and one that is passionate about delivering solutions that address challenges in the label industry."
