Spinnaker Coating is seeing renewed growth with its GripTight and SureLock specialty adhesives.
GripTight is an aggressive hot melt, rubber-based adhesive designed for difficult surfaces, including many building materials, manufacturing and packaging products, horticultural products, plastics, and wovens. While GripTight is a heavy coat weight, it will diecut, strip, and dispense well compared to other similar aggressive adhesives, with no adhesive pattern application needed, the company says.
SureLock is another aggressive hot melt, rubber-based adhesive that offers excellent adhesion to textured substrates.
For this type of application, it’s not enough to have just an overly aggressive permanent adhesive. To have success, the adhesive needs to grab quickly to the substrate, but then flow into the nooks, crannies, cracks, holes, bumps, grit, and other non-smooth surface attributes. The adhesive must hold onto the texture, surround it, fill it, and not just sit on top. Substrates could include foam, burlap, lumber, seed bags, and many other industrial type applications.
“Both of these products have proven to solve many challenges that our customers have had when needing labelstock for various difficult-to-stick-to applications where standard adhesives have failed,” says Joel Ulrich, Roll Product marketing manage at Spinnaker Coating. “GripTight and SureLock will be featured at Spinnaker’s booth (#747) at Labelexpo Americas 2020.”
Constructions are available Trimless with a minimum of one roll 3” x 5,000’.
