In keeping with World Health Organization guidelines to mitigate the spread of the COVID-19 virus, Xeikon America has postponed its Xeikon Café on Tour events until authorities declare it safe to resume. In the interim, Xeikon has announced Xeikon Café TV (XCTV), its new virtual platform.
XCTV’s goals mirror those of Xeikon Café itself: educating providers on best practices in the graphic arts, commercial printing, labels and packaging sectors; and introducing the newest Xeikon products, technologies and applications.
“We want XCTV to deliver a lot of value just like the in-person Xeikon Café experiences,” says Donna Covannon, director of marketing, Xeikon America. “We plan a great deal of actionable content in a short 90 minutes, including demos and a plant tour directly from respected users.”
Two sessions are planned: one for labels and packaging on April 22; and another for graphic arts/commercial printing on April 23. Each will begin at 11:00 am Eastern / 8:00 am Pacific and last for 90 minutes. The agenda will include:
In addition to group broadcasts like the one explained above, XCTV will become a permanent communication tool offering a range of time- and travel-saving options for Xeikon's current and prospective customers. For example, individualized streaming video demonstrations originating in Xeikon's Innovation Center can be arranged as needed, incorporating remote video from multiple geographies. A brief video describing the tool's capabilities can be viewed here.
"These XCTV capabilities are particularly useful during the current pandemic, but we view them as permanent enhancements to our sales, support and training tool sets," Covannon adds.
