Graphic Design USA (GDUSA) has announced the winners of its annual American Package Design Awards. The competition encompasses package design, POP and the entire retail experience, and is sponsored exclusively by Neenah Packaging.
For nearly six decades, GDUSA has sponsored design competitions that spotlight areas of excellence and opportunity for creative professionals. Of the 2,500-plus entries this year, a highly-selective 10% – representing some 200 design firms, departments and producers – were recognized as winners with a Certificate of Excellence.
“Makers, marketers and sellers are challenged as never before to convey the message, promote the brand, close the deal,” says GDUSA editor and publisher Gordon Kaye. “Package design is increasingly the difference maker in advancing the brand and influencing the purchasing decision. Our annual competition celebrates beautiful graphics, of course but, more importantly, the power of design to forge an emotional link at the moment of truth.”
A selected showcase of the winners appears in the April edition of GDUSA in the print, web, digital, and mobile versions of GDUSA. Print readers and online visitors are expected to exceed 100,000.
