AB Graphic International (ABG) has announced that it has taken an order for five of its flagship Digicon Series 3 finishing machines from the Netherlands-based Geostick Group, one of the largest label producers in Europe.
Founded in Amsterdam in 1924 by PJ Berveling, the Geostick Group is a third generation, family-owned business that has grown significantly over the years. Besides conventional label printing, the group also offers digital printing, supplying label printers, providing maintenance, software and additional services.
Purchasing its first finishing machine back in 1999, Geostick’s long-standing relationship with ABG has since resulted in a lineup of more than 40 existing machines. The five new Digicon machines will allow Geostick to increase productivity and keep pace with customer demand by delivering high-quality output. All machines will provide high levels of automation, including connections to CERM, which will simplify setup and changeovers, resulting in reduced operator error.
Cees Schouten, Geostick Group’s operations director, says, “We are excited about the continued growth of the Geostick Group and our planned expansion into new purpose built digital printing facilities in Uithoorn later this year.
“We chose ABG because of their belief in automation and quality,” adds Schouten. “The new Digicons will allow us to continue to grow while creating the high-quality products our customers expect. ABG has been our chosen finishing equipment partner for over two decades.”
Matt Burton, ABG’s global sales director, adds, “We are thrilled that the Geostick Group sees ABG as their natural partner for finishing equipment; we share similar values and look forward to seeing the result of their new purchases going forward.”
