IIJ has partnered with Sakurai Graphic Systems for an open house that is scheduled to take place this week in Japan. The companies have made the decision to go ahead with their New Technology Introduction Show, which takes place from April 14-17.
The show is Sakurai’s annual exhibition of its new technology and products. At the show, Sakurai will unveil its newly-introduced hybrid screen/inkjet press. Sakurai describes the launch as the “Fusion of Digital (Inkjet) and Analog (Silk Screen) Technologies."
The demonstration of the system will take place on-site, as it is up and working in Japan. Because of COVID-19 the IIJ inkjet engine took over one month to ship from the UK to Japan, arriving on April 9.
Unable to travel to Japan, a team of IIJ engineers based in USA and the UK have been working online and around the clock with Sakurai’s engineers. The combined team effort worked amazingly well and the system went together almost flawlessly, the companies note.
