After months of research and evaluation, General Data Co (GDC) has selected Lemu Group USA to outfit its facilities with the latest turret rewinder technology.
GDC, a medical products specialist based in Cincinnati, OH, is seeing an increase in speeds and production throughput on a variety of materials and finished roll sizes options. Lemu’s strong foundation and high-quality product construction has allowed GDC to customize and configure the equipment to meet its needs.
Lemu Group USA’s new technology will help General Data move forward in its current market segments while preparing for future growth.
According to Pete Wenzel, president of GDC, Lemu Group USA has allowed the company to replace older equipment. Customization also served as a key differentiator.
“After reviewing our options, the Lemu system offered advantages over some of the conventional machines,” explains Wenzel. “With Lemu’s new technologies, GDC can focus on maximizing skilled positions and facilitating growth in our workforce in additional areas. Their concept and technology advancement enable GDC to easily train a group of press operators. With this potential to train and reassign skilled workers ‘where needed,’ we can create a more balanced workload to better handle customer demand.”
Lemu Group USA has designed its turret rewind technology with an emphasis on automation and Lean Manufacturing. The company’s product line ranges from 13” up to 60” in width.
