Dantex has announced a new distributor agreement for the MEA region with Dubai-based Afra International DMCC. The move represents further expansion of the group’s new digital division.
With an extensive operation across the Middle East and Africa, Afra International is one of the region’s prominent suppliers of print finishing and packaging equipment. Looking to provide its customers with a high-quality, versatile digital product, the Dantex Pico range has been designed to meet those requirements.
Commenting on the partnership, Vinay Krishnan, Afra International’s general manager, says, “In providing both short and long runs, as well as being able to work with conventional labelstock, Dantex’s UV inkjet solutions are the perfect fit for printers in the MEA region. As a complete digital solution, both the PicoColour and PicoJet are easy to operate, unlike conventional flexo solutions. We are currently engaged in intensive marketing activities throughout our region to promote the Pico range, and the responses we are getting are highly encouraging, even from far flung areas of Africa.
“We have found the whole learning process with Dantex very effective and well organized," Krishnan adds. "We very much look forward developing our partnership further.”
“This agreement, as part of our global digital strategy in creating distributor partnerships in key regions, demonstrates our confidence to push the division and drive the digital business forward,” explains Simon Cosh, digital business development manager for the Pico range. “Afra International is a great business to work with. We have already trained their engineers and held a number of successful demonstrations.”
