SPGPrints has appointed Omigraf Sp. z o.o., based in Warsaw, as its agent in Poland, where the company will represent its rotary screen printing division for label applications.
Omigraf’s founder and owner, Andrzej Turski, has been representing machine and material suppliers in Poland's graphics printing industry for the last 23 years. The agency will provide label converters with a fast, local supply of SPGPrints rotary screen equipment and consumables, as well as providing technical consultancy, training programs and maintenance.
“We are very excited to further demonstrate our products in the Polish market, which is a very important market for SPGPrints,” says Jerry Willems, area sales manager, label printing.
Rotary screen printing can be used inline with flexo, offset, gravure and letterpress to create eye-catching effects such as gloss, matte and tactile varnishes, vibrant colors, metallic, highest opacity white, as well as braille dots and anti-counterfeiting. SPGPrints’ Rotary Screen Integration (RSI) printing modules allow easy integration into existing label presses. The company’s long-life pure nickel rotary screens include the re-imageable RotaMesh and reusable RotaPlate. These offer stability and strength for high-speed production and their multiple reuse brings long-term cost and time savings.
To develop and dry RotaPlate rotary screens for narrow web applications, SPGPrints developed the RotaPlate Dev&Dry system. This is a tool that completes a CtS system and improves the quality of the conventional process in an automated, fast and ergonomic way. The RotaPlate Dev&Dry has now also been installed in Poland and the customer has successfully integrated the machine in their prepress process.
Omigraf succeeds Maxima, the agency headed by Joanna Brzeskam who retires in January 2021 after 34 years. Brzeska and Omigraf will be closely working together until the end of 2020, ensuring a smooth transfer.
