FLAG (Flexo Label Advantage Group LLC) has announced today that it will feature five presenters at its upcoming Virtual Summit, which takes place October 27-29, 2020.
The Summit presentations are designed to provide valuable market and business education for the 100+ members of the FLAG. The speaker lineup includes: Alex Chausovsky, director, Speaking Services at ITR Economics, Curt Steinhorst, best-selling author on ways to reduce distractions and improve communications in the workplace, Greg Hrinya, editor, Label and Narrow Web, Brian Van der Water, Lean expert, SPL Consulting, Inc, and Paul Reilly, partner, New Direction Partners.
In addition to these five educational sessions, the summit will also include three technical panels that will cover ISO, prepress and HR challenges during a pandemic. Building personal relationships through round-table sessions has always been a highlight at in-person FLAG Annual Meetings. Consequently, there will be an opportunity to join three of them during the Virtual Summit. The event will conclude with a virtual reception and awards ceremony.
At this meeting, FLAG will launch a peer group dedicated to discussing the challenges and opportunities of “next generation” leaders, and the group will be moderated by JC McKay, VP business development for FLAG.
FLAG will also introduce a Virtual Trade Show during the Summit, where members can interact with vendor partners and learn more about their new products and services.
According to John McKay, president and founder, “We’re very pleased to bring these world-class speakers to our members during the Virtual Summit. It’s critical for all of us in the label and packaging industry to keep learning and growing in order to tackle the unprecedented challenges of 2020. We believe that with this outstanding speaker lineup and the other activities we’ve planned, the FLAG Virtual Summit will help our members and vendors to accomplish this goal.”
FLAG members – with an average size of $2 to $30M – realize the type of benefits usually enjoyed by larger multi-site converting conglomerates. These include bottom-line savings, catastrophic recovery plans, penetrating new markets and application niches, and having access to new resources. In addition to the Annual Meeting, these benefits are delivered through a 24/7 online resource site, quarterly calls, “Lunch and Learns” and FLAG Peer Groups.
