Outlook Group, a printed packaging converter based in Neenah, WI, USA, has announced it is now a member of the Sustainable Packaging Coalition (SPC). The SPC is a leading voice on sustainable packaging with membership that represents the entire packaging value chain including global brands, material producers, material converters, retailers, NGOs and waste management providers. The association is an established platform for collective learning and knowledge-sharing amongst packaging value chain stakeholders.
Outlook Group works to leverage its combination of packaging capabilities, including labels, flexible packaging and folding cartons, to reduce complexity for its brand owner and retailer customers, and to bring sustainability to their businesses. In support, Outlook Group offers sustainable packaging roadmap development, material selection and design for recycling consultation services, inventory management programs and automation strategy.
Outlook Group has a legacy in leading customers to reap the benefits of source reduction, downgauging product materials to use the thinnest pressure sensitive film liner in the industry. And by manufacturing its diverse offering of packaging products with an impressive +95% landfill diversion rate, the Outlook Group has long been a guide for customers looking for solutions to divert their own packaging waste from landfills.
“Our team is excited to be a member of the SPC, and to get directly involved in the pertinent conversations and strategies that are taking place amongst its participants,” explains Danielle Jerschefske, Outlook Group business development manager and marketing lead for sustainability. “The pace of the sustainable packaging movement is rapidly picking up speed, so it’s crucial for our organization to have a seat at the table with our peers, customers and value stream partners to discuss current challenges, and offer collaboration and adoption in next steps for improvement.
“We believe that our customers will benefit from our SPC membership, and our active participation will only deepen our ability to support them in achieving their 2025 sustainable packaging goals," she adds.
Outlook Group has earned multiple awards related to sustainable business in recent years, including the Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce (WMC) Business Friend of the Environment Award, the Tag & Label Manufacturers Institute (TLMI) Environmental Leadership Award, and the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Recycling Excellence Award.
