Traco Packaging of Orem, Utah, USA, has installed a new 10-color Nilpeter FA-17, their first from the Danish press manufacturer. According to Nilpeter, the FA-17 is a perfect fit for Traco’s production of pressure sensitive labels, shrink sleeves, and flexible packaging, just to name a few.
Built around the modern printing operator, with an intuitive user-interface and fully mobile print controls, the Nilpeter FA-Line provides a maximum level of stability, the tightest register tolerance, and excellent printing results on multiple substrates: All normal self-adhesive materials, including flexible packaging films, polymer films, metallic films, and paper.
“The new Nilpeter press fits perfectly into our portfolio, right in that sweet spot between our 13-inch digital presses and our wider flexo presses,” says Gary Whitehead, print and prepress manager, Traco Packaging. “From a technical standpoint, and on quality, we’ve been very impressed with what Nilpeter has to offer. To be honest, we’ve always looked for an excuse to get a Nilpeter press, so when the opportunity presented itself, we jumped at the chance,” Whitehead continues.
“We’re looking forward to a great relationship with Nilpeter – their ability to stay on schedule in this environment has been nothing short of amazing, they’ve kept their promises, and that just goes to show what a quality company it is in terms of technical ability, manufacturing, and planning,” Whitehead concludes.
