Printela, a Lithuania-based labels and flexible packaging manufaturer, has added a Cartes Gemini GE363VJL machine. The finishing machine combines a flexo varnishing unit, a Jet D-Screen digital embellishment unit, a laser diecutting unit with dual laser source (350 Watt+350 Watt), and a turret rewinder for the digital embellishment of flexible packaging.
With this investment, Printela becomes the first in Lithuania to launch digitally-printed flexible packaging.
Valdas Bukšnys, general manager of Printela, comments, “Brands that want to create unusual and unique effects to their product labels can now take advantage of the latest digital technologies. We can offer laser cutting, partial varnishing of labels, high raised digital varnish, foiling and other digital decoration methods to our customers without minimum order quantities and printing forms. Statistics show that 73% of consumers are convinced that the decision to buy is influenced by emotional experience and the decoration of labels helps to convey that emotion – color combinations, tactile sense, and unique look. In addition to our new production capacity and optimized processes, we are accelerating our order fulfillment deadlines.”
