International prepress software company Hamillroad Software has announced that FGS - Flexographic Solutions S.L., a Spanish flexo prepress supplier to the European market, brought home six awards for standout print and packaging all using Bellissima DMS screening technology.
FGS won the awards at the ATEF (Technical Association of Flexography) Gala Awards ceremony in Barcelona, as flexographers came together to recognize "Best in Class" print and packaging. The six awards covered multiple categories, including First Prize and "Best in Show" for flexible packaging and film. FGS scooped this award with Florbu’s Wafer Mix, printed by Graficas Llinars. Other winning power brands included FRIT Ravich, Agua de Cuevas and Carrefour.
Joan Rodriguez, technical director of FGS, says, “Once we started evaluating the Bellissima DMS technology and seeing the results on press, we knew we were working with something really special, and today Bellissima has been recognized as a true superstar in the flexo industry. We are looking forward to introducing more brands to Bellissima to realize the same outstanding results.”
FGS’s adoption of Bellissima DMS has been pivotal for the flexographic printing market in Spain, the company says, with more brands and printers moving away from gravure to flexo using Bellissima’s screening technology. Brands are recognizing Bellissima as an upgrade to connect with consumers on shelf and differentiate in a competitive market.
Pierre Hammond, Hamillroad’s commercial director, adds, “Our partnership with FGS goes from strength-to-strength, and I congratulate them on their well-deserved success, together with thanking their customers for believing in the use of our Bellissima DMS prepress software to help deliver superior print results. The combination of FGS and Bellissima DMS is unrivaled in the Spanish flexography market."
