In 2018, HP and Dscoop (Digital Solutions Cooperative) plan on “Unleashing Print” in Dallas, TX, USA. The event will take place from March 25-28 at the Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center.
The HP users conference welcomed nearly 2,400 visitors to Phoenix, AZ last year, where the company was able to celebrate the 40th anniversary of HP Indigo. This year’s conference will build on the more than 100 educational sessions from a year ago, where industry experts detailed business strategy, new digital printing technologies, and more.
"We're delighted to be back at a Gaylord property, where our community can gather together to learn about the latest in HP digital print technology, hear from keynote speakers and education presenters who will help us grow our businesses, and network and enjoy time together in an ‘all-under-one-roof’ setting,” explains Ken Mead, director of Dscoop Americas.
Andrew Davis, a best-selling author and internationally acclaimed keynote speaker, will serve as the conference emcee in Dallas. Other highlighted speakers will include Jeremy Gutsche, an award-winning, best-selling author and founder of TrendHunter.com; Dan Heath, best-selling author and a Senior Fellow at Duke University’s CASE center; Dana Arnett, founding partner and vice chairman of VSA Partners; and Alon Bar-Shany, vice president and general manager of the HP Indigo Division.
Bar-Shany will provide an industry update, as well as forecast the future of HP Indigo. “Over the last 10 years, Indigo technology has changed dramatically,” Bar-Shany said in 2017. “Great presses are not enough for business success, though. In order to be successful in today’s world, you need a lot of other elements. You need the workflow, finishing, you need media, you need the business development aspect, and you need the brands to understand what you’re trying to do. You need community and people, coming together.”
The conference will focus on education and inspiration, brands and creatives, new opportunities in inkjet production, and hands-on technical training for operators. Panel discussions, deep dive interactive sessions, keynotes and case studies will all be featured at Dscoop Americas 2018.
The education track will include two section: growth and efficiency. Presenters will explore data, online integration and how to reach the brand and creative markets. The Efficiency Track will detail color management, data, supply chain, security printing, Mosaic and more. Meanwhile, the Growth Track will highlight the integration of social media in converters’ businesses and how to expand current portfolios.
Visitors will have the opportunity to learn about “The 5 Hottest Print Design Trends of 2018” and “How Google Can Drive More Business to You.”
A Customer Success Center will also be launched in the Solutions Showcase. Here, attendees can get a feel for real-life success stories across multiple verticals.
In addition, HP will announce the winners of the third annual Inkspiration Awards Americas, a contest celebrating best-in-class print projects using HP Indigo, HP PageWide Web Press and HP Scitex. A panel of industry experts judged the best and most creative work in a wide range of applications.
"Given the competitive nature of our industry, winning the HP Inkspiration award built recognition for our work and has allowed us to stand out from the crowd when seeking new business opportunities,” says Manee Kassaii, Rush Graphics. “It was not only an honor to receive this award, but being an award-winning print shop has helped us secure new business.”
Last year, 17 awards were presented to 15 HP customers in multiple categories, ranging from general commercial printing to labels and packaging.
Those interested in attending can still register by March 1 and save $250. More information is available here. Registration opens at the event at 11 a.m. on Sunday, March 25.
