Tower Products, a specialist in environmentally sensitive pressroom chemical technologies, has made a host of moves to keep up with customer demand. The Easton, PA-based company has experienced significant growth recently, leading to new product launches and personnel movement.
Tower Products’ new personnel moves have been designed to maximize production efficiencies, improve customer service and streamline the ordering process. Frank Newman has joined the company as vice president of operations. He will take an active role in managing Tower’s production, procurement and logistics all with company growth as the goal. Chas Gunderman has been promoted to production director and will have full responsibility for daily production planning, as well as shipping and receiving. Meanwhile, Dennis Johnson has been promoted to technical sales director for the company.
Finally, Mark Principato has been promoted to director of flexographic products and international sales. Previously, he was the product manager for Tower’s SmartFlex line of flexographic chemistry.
“Our new hires and industrial/technological upgrades directly reflect the move toward being a major global player in this industry,” says Principato.
The personnel moves have accompanied the expansion of the company’s Pennsylvania facility. However, Tower Products has set its sights on assisting customers across the globe. As part of Principato’s promotion, he will also focus on international sales efforts as sales of its technology products are increasing quickly in countries outside of the US.
“Not only have we expanded in both flexographic and offset offerings, we have expanded internationally – specifically in Europe and Latin America,” notes Principato. “We had always been able to export product, but this trend has really exploded in the past three years as Tower’s reputation for high quality products and technical support has become acknowledged by the printing industry.”
To better serve customers both domestically and internationally, the company has unveiled several new products. These products target the shift toward UV LED products. The company has strived to develop solutions for every need in a flexographic pressroom, specifically in regards to cleaning chemistry. Tower Products’ technical support provides direct response to customers’ needs, ensuring they have the right product for the right situation.
“Certainly the biggest trend I’ve seen with my customers is the move to UV LED,” states Principato. “We’ve seen this not just in flexo, but offset as well. We have a whole line of products specifically formulated and manufactured for this new trend.
“We have always prided ourselves on outstanding customer service,” he adds. “Our inside customer service reps do a fantastic job helping our customers. Our goal is to always get things done in a timely manner and to maintain and grow our business relationships.”
As businesses begin to open back up following the uncertainty associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, Principato invites those in need of cleaning technologies and products to explore the growing operations at Tower.
“If you haven’t heard of, or tried using our products, we welcome you to give us a call or schedule a representative to visit your facility,” he concludes. “We have reps throughout North America, Central America and Europe, so we are never too far away.”
