Kingsway Printers, based in Lincolnshire, UK, has taken delivery of the world’s first Digicon-Lite 3, AB Graphic International’s new entry level digital finishing machine. Based on the successful Digicon Series 3, the new Digicon-Lite 3 is touted as the fastest small digital finishing machine in the marketplace.
The majority of Kingsway’s finishing equipment for both its flexographic and digital operations has been supplied by AB Graphic International over the years. Since adding an additional HP Indigo digital press last year, Kingsway once again sought the advice and expertise of ABG for further machinery to complement its existing Digicon Series 2.
“We considered a Digicon Series 3 but liked the concept of the new Digicon Lite with its reduced footprint and lower capital cost,” says Richard Pullen, Kingsway’s managing director. “The Digicon Lite had these advantages while still giving the same speed curve as the larger Digicon. Since installation, we have been very impressed with the speed and efficiency of this machine. We are delighted to be the first customer to take delivery of the new Digicon Lite and look forward to continuing our excellent relationship with AB Graphic International.”
Launched at Labelexpo 2015, the Digicon-Lite 3 is the newest addition to the Digicon family. Available to run inline, it also offers a number of options synonymous with the Digicon Series 3.
“We’ve been very pleased with the orders already received for our new Digicon-Lite 3,” comments Tony Bell, sales director for AB Graphic International. “With space being at a premium for some manufacturers, this compact digital finishing solution is ideal for those wanting something smaller.”
