3C! Packaging, a North Carolina-based pharmaceutical packaging company specializing in the design and manufacture of custom folding cartons, printed literature, inserts/outserts, labels/foils and unit dose applications, has received full certification of its offset printing operations to become a Walgreens Certified Print Packaging Supplier.
To earn the quality assurance seal, 3C! Packaging passed a stringent program administered by Graphic Measure International (GMI), an organization that monitors and validates suppliers’ required process controls and ability to deliver consistent results for its vendors. The designation enables Walgreens’ private label suppliers to use 3C! Packaging for printed packaging of Walgreens private branded products. GMI granted the certification following a comprehensive audit of 3C!’s packaging operations. Several categories were tested for compliance, including prepress, plating, press, post-press operations, quality control, and training. 3C! demonstrated full compliance and performance across all analyzed categories.
With more than 8,200 pharmacies nationwide, Walgreens is the largest drug retailing chain in the US, offering a full range of pharmacy products, OTC health and wellness solutions, and consumer goods. With its new approval to execute the company’s branded packaging, 3C! Packaging will work with designated product suppliers to produce a broad range of product offerings, including custom folding cartons, printed literature, inserts/outserts, labels/foils and unit dose applications for Walgreens.
