The Excellence in Flexography Awards is an annual competition sponsored by the Flexographic Technical Association (FTA), during which flexographic printers/converters and other members of the supply chain gather and demonstrate their respective technologies to the entire global packaging community. This awards program, first established in 1960, pays tribute to the printing achievements by an industry continuously demonstrating gains in quality, consistency and process control. New this year, FTA members receive their first entry free of charge. Each entry thereafter is $80. Entry fees for non-members are $150 per submission.
“The Excellence in Flexography Awards competition provides a great opportunity for companies of all sizes and across all industry segments to showcase and demonstrate their capabilities in achieving exceptional print results,” says Paul Lancelle, FTA Awards Committee chair. “Teams of industry professionals utilize established judging criteria in determining the ‘best of the best.’ The competitive bar continues to be raised each year from a print quality standpoint.”
All members of the flexographic supply chain, including printers/converters, print buyers, suppliers, designers and students from around the world, are invited to enter. Competition categories include: wide web, mid web, narrow web, combined corrugated, preprinted linerboard, envelope, self-promotion, student and non traditional flexo/emerging technologies. Consideration is limited to entries that were produced for a production run of an actual market product between Jan. 1, 2015 and Dec. 31, 2015. After the submission period ends on Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2016, entries will be reviewed and ranked by a panel of converter and supplier judges.lnw
