Green Bay Packaging buys Mexican partner
Effective September first of this year, Green Bay Packaging’s Coated Products Operations has extended its reach, now producing pressure sensitive materials and offering slitting and distribution services in Mexico City.
The company, based in Green Bay, WI, has purchased a majority interest in ESAMEX, a long time strategic partner in the market.
“The acquisition offers three key advantages for customers,” says Paul Hasemeyer, senior vice president Coated Products Operations. “We will significantly upgrade the plant’s slitting capabilities, as well as increase the breadth of the product line, but we will also raise inventory levels to allow for just-in-time product delivery for the market.”
The acquisition will be called Green Bay Mexico. Azlan Levy will continue to serve as general manager of the facility.
Green Bay Mexico will continue to offer all of ESAMEX’s previous broad line along with products from Green Bay Packaging’s domestic line, including standard white papers (gloss, semi-gloss, EDP and pharmaceutical), fluorescents, direct thermal, thermal transfer, laser, foils and holograms, and films.
