Schober USA unveils its second generation RFID machine, which includes the ability to read HF and UHF tags, a new tag dispenser with web tensioning, strategically placed start/stop buttons, and greater information gathering capabilities. An optional static discharge protection package is also a feature. RFID transponders are placed under pre-printed labels, which the company says is a cost effective solution. The product works with transponders in accordance with ISO specifications, in widths from 10 mm to 160 mm. Pre-printed labels with widths from 20 mm to 200 mm can be applied at rates from 5,000 to 20,000 labels per hour.
