Functional Topography

Applied Laser Engineering will be featuring functional topography at Labelexpo Americas 2016. Laser engraved functional topography describes a surface that has functionality provided to the surface via a laser. This functionality could be used to hold ink, for fl exo, gravure or anilox rollers, or to create a surface used for embossing or imprinting a substrate. Printed electronics, optical fi lms, anti-microbial and lowfriction surfaces are further examples of functional topography.
