Codimag, the French manufacturer of label printing equipment, is launching the Xaar Print Bar System integrated into its VIVA340 modular press. This is the Xaar Print Bar System's debut show in America and follows on from the significant interest generated at Labelexpo Europe last year.

The VIVA340 is a modular press that can be specified according to customers' needs and is one of the very few intermittent presses available which has all the major printing or finishing processes in line. The Xaar Print Bar System, when integrated into the VIVA340, can be used to add high opacity white, varnish or black in a single pass to 4 colour labels right up to high end labels for premium products.

Visitors to the Codimag booth (5803) can also learn about the benefits delivered by a hybrid press -- an Aniflo offset waterless press with the digital Xaar Print Bar System integrated onto it. There will be four presentations per day during the show.

The Xaar Print Bar System allows users to take advantage of the benefits of digital printing easily and economically to deliver more creativity to their customers. It is a versatile, easy-to-configure solution ideal for personalized, variable data, special effects and short-run printing for a range of applications, including labels and packaging, and saves the considerable cost and time associated with analogue production methods.

By using Xaar 1002 printheads with TF Technology the Xaar Print Bar System can handle a wide range of inks and fluids, including spot colours (K or CMY), protective lacquers, high-build spot varnish, heavily pigmented high-opacity under-surface whites and cold foil adhesives. Our selected ink partners include Nazdar, SunJet and Fujifilm Speciality Ink Systems (FSIS).

The Xaar Print Bar is a complete "ready-to-use system" featuring a choice of Xaar 1002 printheads (GS6, GS12 or GS40 depending on the application), an ink supply system and full print management and workflow capabilities to ensure total control of the print process.  It is available in print widths of 140 mm to 560 mm and prints at speeds of up to 75 m/min (depending on the application).
