Prati featured at Labelexpo the Digifast One digital finishing platform whose strengths are accuracy and productivity – up 40% on what the market has been accustomed, the company says.

Digifast One boosts productivity on average by up to 40% thanks to 8-minute job set-up times and significant reductions in waste material for each job, Prati said.  Equipped with FastCut automated knife and counter-knife positioning device, set-up times drop drastically and slit quality achieves tighter tolerance levels (max. 0.15 mm). Side-trimming is handled by the automatic backscoring unit underneath. Both featured on the exhibited machine, the semi-rotary flexo unit together with the cold foil unit provide UV lamination, spot varnish, supervarnish and cold foil. And as not all labels processed in one run have the same shape, the twin shaft of the semi-automatic turret can handle two rolls simultaneously, thus saving time.

The unit also allows for the set up of pre-glued cores on one shaft, ready for the next roll, while the other shaft is winding.
