Presstek displays waterless plates and Dimension Pro-W CTP system

Visitors could see their jobs printed live via a chemistry-free and waterless offset printing workflow.
Presstek announced record traffic at Labelexpo Europe, with visitors having the opportunity to see the newly launched Zahara chemistry-free waterless plate. The product has been exclusively designed for narrow web label printers. Guests also saw the Dimension Pro-W, a thermal CTP imaging system ideal for the Zahara plate family.
Many visitors are also took advantage of the opportunity to see their jobs printed live via a chemistry-free and waterless offset printing workflow.
“It’s exciting to see the reactions when we explain the Eco-Kleen plate processor contains water only,” comments Karol Wolnikowski, EAMER region, sales manager, Presstek LLC. “Visitors are also impressed with the high image contrast of the Zahara NWL plates. They appreciate its durability and easy handling attributes, and are taken by the sharp images and high quality sheets coming off the press.”
“The response has been overwhelmingly positive. Label printers are really engaging with us and are fascinated with the water-washable aspect of the Zahara NWL plate and small footprint of the Dimension Pro-W,” says Yuval Dubois, CEO, Presstek. “It’s nice that they can see the entire workflow here in the Codimag stand, from imaging, rinsing, and running Zahara NWL on Codimag’s VIVA Aniflo press. We received multiple order commitments in the first few days of the Expo.”
Visitors cited the environmental benefits of the chemistry-free workflow and the ability to easily calculate the savings from forgoing the chemistry. The simplified plate processing and reduced processor maintenance in the offset printing workflow also drove interest.
