Nilpeter's Lars Eriksen to receive Lifetime Achievement Award

July 8, 2005

Lars Eriksen, owner and president of Nilpeter A/S, of Denmark, is the 2005 winner of the R. Stanton Avery Lifetime Achievement Award. The decision was made in June by judges of the Label Industry Global Awards, and the award will be bestowed upon Eriksen at Labelexpo Europe in Brussels in September.

Over the past 30 years Lars Eriksen has built his company into one of the leading manufacturers of narrow web presses. Today, Nilpeter is a global company headquartered in Slagelse, Denmark, and has subsidiaries in England, France, Poland, Germany, Thailand, China, USA and Brazil, and agents in 65 countries. It employs 500 people and has global turnover of more than €120 million.

Born in 1947, Eriksen is the grandson of an original founder of Nilpeter, which makes Lars Eriksen the third generation in the family business. He grew up with Nilpeter and is one of the few people to have been employed in all departments of the company. Today he concentrates most on R&D and sales. He has been vice chairman of the board of directors since 1975, and recently became chairman of Etipol.
