The company received the honor, known as the “Lake-Geauga Fast Track 50,” from the Lakeland Institute for Economic Development, part of Lakeland Community College. Criteria for the annual award are consistent sales growth and an environment that encourages new ideas and business development. The 50 honorees are based in Northeastern Ohio’s Lake and Geauga counties.
Founded in 1986, Chemsultants International specializes in the research and development of polymer systems, adhesives and sealants technology, and manufacturing of physical property testing instrumentation for the adhesives industry. It offers seminars, expert witness services, business planning, market studies and assistance in the planning and construction of both laboratory and production facilities.
Over the years it has formed partnerships with, among others, the Pressure Sensitive Tape Council (PSTC) and the Adhesives and Sealants Council (ASC) that have fostered hands-on workshops and, with PSTC, the Alliance for Excellence in Tape Testing.
ChemInstruments, one of its companies, designs, manufactures and sells a full line of testing equipment for the adhesive, sealant, ink and converting industries.
Next summer Chemsultants International is scheduled to move to a new 40,000 square foot campus that will house the company’s executive, sales and marketing, and training facilities. The site has enough space to accommodate two other 40,000-square-foot buildings, including space to develop fuel cell technology.
