May 2, 2006

Dirk J. Desanzo, who founded Technicote in 1980, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 25, at the age of 63. He was born in Beaver Falls, PA, USA and lived in Stow, OH, USA before moving to Naples, OH in 1987, where he resided until his death. He was a graduate of Geneva College in Beaver Falls and was a self-employed businessman for many years. Technicote is a manufacturer of custom pressure sensitive roll label products to service converters throughout the United States, Mexico and Canada. The company is based in Miamisburg, OH.

“With this sad event, Technicote has lost its father, its founder and best friend,” says Anthony Vinciguerra, the company president. “The pressure sensitive and adhesives coating industry that he loved and helped build has also lost a premier visionary. Dirk left an indelible mark on his many business ventures and the industries they served. He provided a livelihood to many people that are in every way a tribute to his vision and his entrepreneurial nature which are among the many gifts he bestowed to others over the course of his life.”
