Lightning Labels, of Denver, CO, the USA’s first all digital label printer, has announced that it had achieved another quarter of record sales. The second quarter of 2006 was the fifth consecutive quarter of record sales and the first time the company had exceeded $500,000 for a quarter.
“I am delighted that our customers continue to reward us with their business in record numbers,” says Steve Smith, president. “What is particularly gratifying is that the number of repeat orders was also a record in this quarter. We have worked very hard to cultivate a loyal customer base, and it is pleasing to see these efforts rewarded.”
Compared with the second quarter of 2005, 2006 sales were up 46 percent. “In an industry that is growing only in the low single digits, to have a roughly 50 percent growth rate is impressive,” says Smith. “With so many of our new customers using a commercial printer for the first time, we are not just taking sales off our competitors, we are helping to grow the industry.”
