Tailored Solutions Joins CIP4 Consortium

August 15, 2006

Tailored Solutions, developer of Label Traxx print business management software for flexographic narrow web label printers and converters, Milwaukee, WI, USA, has joined the CIP4 consortium, the organization that coordinates the implementation of JDF and JMF software protocols in the printing industry.

Ken Meinhardt, president of Tailored Solutions, says, “The JDF and JMF software protocols developed by the CIP4 consortium are fast becoming the communication standards for the entire printing industry. The protocols initially found application in the offset area, and we are pleased to spearhead efforts to bring these operating efficiencies to label printers and converters in the flexographic market. Our efforts will enable flexographic manufacturers to establish two-way communications between Label Traxx and popular prepress equipment.”

Tailored Solutions provides automated job management software for the printing industry. It offers two versions of its job tracking software — Label Traxx for flexographic narrow web converters and printers, and Litho Traxx for sheetfed lithographic printers and prepress trade shops. All Tailored Solutions software is designed for use on both Macintosh and Windows platforms.
