ProLabel, of Cumming, GA, USA, took a major step recently and acquired new prepress and workflow systems, all from Kodak. The systems include the Matchprint inkjet proofer, the Thermoflex narrow platesetter and the Printergy Powerpack workflow system.
“An integrated workflow was key in our decision making process,” says ProLabel COO Sean Carty. “Our previous system pulled together equipment from a handful of different vendors. With our trio of Kodak solutions, we now have a production process that allows us to handle a higher quality of work and more complex jobs with a faster turnaround, which at the end of the day has opened doors to new high value markets.”
ProLabel, a $12 million company, has been in business since 1989. The firm’s 40 employees handle prepress and production for food and beverage, health and beauty and chemical industries.
