Penmar named to top 50 diversity-owned firms in Connecticut

Penmar Industries, of Norwalk, CT, USA, has been named among the top 50 diversity-owned businesses in Connecticut by DiversityBusiness.com. The recognition positions Penmar among the nation’s top multicultural revenue earners, which range from $1 million to $1 billion. The stringent classification includes only leading companies in major industries such as technology, manufacturing, food service, and professional services.

Penmar Industries manufactures labels, tapes and packaging supplies. The company recently received 2006 Silver and Bronze awards at the 31st International Gallery of Superb Printing. Penmar has been recognized twice by the Connecticut Minority Supplier Development Council (CMSDC) as the Supplier of the Year in 1997 and 2004, and awarded the Gallery of Superb Printing awards in 1997, 2000, 2001 and 2005.

More than 500,000 businesses in the United States competed in the 7th annual national survey of the Top Small Businesses conducted by DiversityBusiness.com. The awards are based on annual gross sales.
