The Italian press company GIDUE has sold its sixth press in India, and its third since the beginning of 2007, says Managing Director Federico d’Annunzio. The company also has announced machinery sales in Australia and Spain.
Sel-Jegat, Sivakasi, GIDUE’s Indian customers, has acquired an E-Combat 370 eight color press. The sale was accomplished through the manufacturer’s distributor, Reifenhäuser India. The press is equipped with delam/relam, lamination, cold foil on rail, punching, sheeting, inline 100 percent video inspection, and combination UV/water based inks. The printer intends to use the press to serve the adhesive, coupon, roll fed, and sleeve markets.
Australia now has six GIDUE presses, d’Annunzio says, and a seventh is in production. Most recently, Mr. Labels, of Brisbane, has acquired an Intelligent Combat press, a nine-color UV flexo machine to be used for production of self-adhesive labels and flexible packaging. It is configured with cold foil and lamination devices.
The Spanish press, an S-Combat 280 seven-color machine, marks GIDUE’s 16th installation in that country.
