Mark Andy Europe launches seminar series

April 17, 2007

Mark Andy has planned a series of Educator Seminars at its new Advanced Technology Centre in Switzerland. The seminar series continues a program launched in the United States by the company’s Comco brand in the 1990s, a program that continued into the present decade and attracted hundreds of narrow web converters.

The first of the European Educator Seminars, which will focus on film applications, will be held on May 9 at Mark Andy Europe’s new facility in Basel-Reinach. The program will include presentations from industry figures in the film label and film packaging markets, along with those from Mark Andy’s co-supplying partners. Topics will include market trends, new opportunities and a review of the latest technology to help converters grow their businesses. The presentations will be given in English or German with simultaneous translations into French.

The Educator Seminar will be based around a Mark Andy Europe Open House. The newly opened Advanced Technology Centre houses a range of Mark Andy and Comco flexo technology for applications from labels to flexible packaging and folding cartons. Visitors to the open house and delegates at the seminar will have the opportunity to see live print demonstrations of different types of work. The open house is on Tuesday, May 8, and Thursday, May 10, and will feature a mini program for both morning and afternoon sessions.
