Pazazz, a printing company based in Montreal, Canada, has invested more than $1 million (Canadian) in digital printing and finishing equipment at its label converting unit, Phase 2. The acquisition is aimed at reinforcing Pazazz’s status as a full-service, one-stop-shop for printing solutions.
Pazazz reports that it is the first label converter in Canada to purchase and install the new HP Indigo ws4500 digital press, as well as the first in Canada to purchase and install AB Graphic International’s Omega Digicon HS finishing equipment with sheeting capability.
“The addition of these two pieces combined with our flexo presses creates a powerful solution with respect to label printing and finishing services,” says Warren Werbitt, president and CEO of Pazazz. “It’s a one-of-a-kind configuration that offers efficiency and convenience previously unseen in the trade. The synthesis of these units offers a significant advantage by allowing flexible short print runs and large-volume runs at any time. Pazazz’s clients can now easily print anywhere from one to an unlimited quantity of labels because the automated setup allows for tremendous flexibility.
“Our clients were increasingly requesting the option for short-run, flexible, color printing — often with variable data and/or personalization,” adds Werbitt. “Not only did we answer their call, but we tracked down the finest equipment the industry has to offer.”
Pazazz, founded in 1992, also has offices in New York and Shanghai. It is certified by the Forest Stewardship Council and is a member of Independent Printers Worldwide.
