A new Fasson self-adhesive product called Lean Film was introduced today by Avery Dennison. The thinner gauge labelstock range is a machine-direction-oriented film said by the company to “challenge current conceptions of the cost of quality self-adhesive film labeling for bulk products in the personal and home care markets.” Lean Film is available only in Europe.
According to Jan ‘t Hart, senior product manager for Avery Dennison Roll Materials Europe, “The key feature of this product is the thinness of the facestock, which delivers significant improvement in the number of printed labels per converted roll of labelstock. With rolls nearly 30 percent longer, converters can benefit from fewer roll changes on the press. Based on customer trials, we see estimated average savings of around 22 percent less downtime.”
