Dow Corning introduced a new Syl-Off Advantage emulsion release coating system, which extends the cost-saving benefits of the Advantage series to water based coatings.

Dow Corning introduced a new Syl-Off Advantage emulsion release coating system, which extends the cost-saving benefits of the Advantage series to water based coatings. The new system consists of an emulsion coating and a concentrated platinum catalyst that deliver lower cost in use than previously available technologies, according to the company.

The system’s lower cost, coupled with its flat, stable release performance, make it useful for a wide range of pressure sensitive labelstock applications. “We are continually working to develop new ways to help our customers lower their manufacturing costs,” says Dow Corning’s Lucrece Foufopoulos-De Ridder. “Syl-Off Advantage products are not simply low-platinum. They possess a combination of benefits that work together to help increase productivity while reducing overall raw material and manufacturing costs.”
