Mark Andy and KECO Coatings have combined forces to offer their collective customers a new aftermarket process improvement program designed to reduce cycle times. KECO says it has developed high performance non-stick coatings for EZ Clean ink pans and traction release idler rolls for narrow web applications. Mark Andy says it will support KECO by supplying OEM parts, including, ink pans and idler rolls. Now customers can purchase new coated ink pans and idler rolls from KECO directly.
Founded in 1980, KECO Coatings is a developer and applicator of high performance non-stick coatings for the printing and packaging industry; and a DuPont Industrial Teflon coating licensee. Headquartered in Indianapolis, IN, USA, KECO has sales offices in Charlotte, NC and Tucson, AZ, USA. KECO coatings, including all Teflon coating systems, Plasma Teflon and conductive idler rolls, are certified to ISO 9001-2001 and AS9100 standards.
KECO President Mike Klinge says, “Many of our narrow web customers own Mark Andy presses and more often than not we are asked to supply spare pans to kick-start our non-stick coating program. It has always been our goal to make it easier for our customers to tie in to our process improvement coating program. We feel that we have accomplished this by joining forces with Mark Andy. Our customers simply need to supply us with the model and serial numbers of their Mark Andy press and then we can supply non-stick coated equipment manufactured to OEM specifications in a matter of a couple of weeks.”
Paul Muellar, after market manager for Mark Andy Comco, says, “We believe this partnership with KECO Coatings will provide our customers with a creative way to improve productivity by reducing clean-up cycles. KECO Coatings is committed to the narrow web printing and packaging industry and many of our customers have already activated the EZ Clean ink pan program and are enjoying the benefits it offers.”
